Sackhere Municipality Water Supply System under rehabilitation
The Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia (MRDI) carries out rehabilitation of Water Supply System (WSS) in Gorisa and Chikha of Sachkhere Municipality. The Acting Executive Director of MDF Mr. Juansher Burchuladze has conducted the site visit aimed at familiarizing with the progress of works.
The project envisages arrangement of reservoirs in Gorisa and Chikha, as well as rehabilitation of existing boreholes and construction of the new pump station. Upon finalization of the project, nearly 5 600 residents will have had the water issue resolved. The project implementation will contribute also to improvement of social condition for the local residents.
The project undergoes implementation with financial support from the European Investment Bank (EIB) and its estimated cost is GEL 8 million. Rehabilitation of the WSS will be completed in Summer 2019.
