Construction of Wastewater Treatment Plant Ongoing in Telavi

The Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is constructing wastewater treatment plant in Telavi. The project is backed by SIDA and its cost averages GEL 12.4 million.
Juansher Burchuladze, Acting Executive Director of the Municipal Development Fund of Georgia was visiting the ongoing project site.
The project envisages construction of new, up-to-date wastewater treatment facility, which is of great significance is terms of ecology. Thus far, fecal masses were being discharged into river Alazani. This problem will be fully solved after project completion. Wastewater plant construction project will be finalized in the beginning of 2019.
