Landscaping action adjacent to Tbilisi-Rustavi highway
Municipal Development Fund of Georgia is planting various types of seedlings adjacent to Tbilisi-Rustavi highway. Today Minister of regional development and infrastructure Nodar Javakhishvili, first deputy minister Ilia Darchiashvili and MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze took part into the action. Landscaping action commenced in February and will be finalized by the end of March. Besides adjacent territory of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway landscaping action is scheduled to be conducted on Makhata mountain as well. Within the framework of the action totally 5500 seedlings will be set on both places.
MDF deputy executive director Davit Tabidze and other members of the fund took part in landscaping action. Among pine, Georgian oak, ashen, cypress and poplar 560 walnut seedlings and elm which are listed in red book will be set.
Based on fund’s order ltd “ International company Synehidro” implements seedling planting compensation works in compliance with Georgian legislation. Furthermore the company undertakes obligation to maintain newly set plants during one year and as for the plants listed in red book they will provide maintenance during five years.
It worth mentioning that Tbilisi-Rustavi highway construction project envisages arrangement of recreation zones and landscaping on all three sections of the highway. Base on ADB financial support MDF implement construction of Tbilisi-Rustavi highway and cost amounts to GEL 96 685 218. 40.
