Rehabilitation of two kindergartens in Aspindza municipality
Municipal Development Fund of Georgia has already finalized rehabilitation of #2 kindergarten in Aspindza municipality, rehabilitation of kindergarten #1 is in progress. Cost of the rehabilitation works for kindergarten #2 amounts to GEL 4 97092, and for kindergarten #1 amounts to GEL 403009. Total amount for both kindergartens rehabilitation will amount to GEL 900101.60; Works are implemented by World Bank financial support. Today rehabilitation works was visited by MDF executive director Juansher Burchuladze.
Children living in borough Aspindza will have availability to attend international standards kindergartens. As a result of project implementation both kindergarten will serve 400 children instead of 250. Before rehabilitation kindergarten #2 was designated for 125 children and since finalization of rehabilitation the kindergarten will receive 200children. More than 20 workman was hired on works.
After completion of rehabilitation works for Kindergarten #2, by MDF order started rehabilitation works for kindergarten # 1. In coordination with local municipality MDF divided works into two phase in order not to suspend academic year and not to leave children without kindergarten services.
Within the framework of the project amortized walls and partitions were dismantled and new walls were constructed with blocks and gypsum. Besides this within the rehabilitation window doors were replaced, new floors, toilets, kitchen and dining room were arranged, heating and ventilation system was installed, sewerage and water supply systems were replaced. Besides arranging internal infrastructure building was faced externally and yard was arranged for children.
By the end of 2015 rehabilitation of Kindergarten #1 will be finalized and borough Aspindza population will benefit from 2 international standards kindergartens.
