1500 households residing in the village Kurdghelauri are supplied with water only once a week for one hour, though due to the considerably damaged network, it cannot be used as drinking water.    Therefore, the local population extracts potable water from  individually arranged wells.  As a result of project implementation, the village Kurdghelauri inhabitants will have the water supply problem solved.

The Telavi Municipality is also facing water supply-related difficulties, part of the population is supplied with water according to the 5-6 hour schedule, the rest – according to the 8-10 hour schedule.   Following water supply project completion, Telavi residents will benefit from improved water supply system and water quality.

Under the project, a depreciated network with total length of 70km will be subjected to rehabilitation, 3 new reservoirs will be built, and one reservoir will undergo rehabilitation.  2 new wells will be arranged as well.   Rehabilitation works commenced in July of current year and will be completed in 2016.  The project is being implemented by the “Trust Neftgas Tikinti” LTD.
