Meeting with KFW Representatives
Mr. Sozar Subar, the Minister of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Accommodation and Refugees of Georgia and Deputy Minister Mamuka Tsotniashvili met with MDF Deputy Executive Director Mr. Tornike Toradze, KFW project manager Christophe Izenman and GOPA Consulting Head Office manager Mr. Rainer Riha. The parties discussed in detail the priority issues and current projects. German side expressed willingness to use the unspent funds of the project “Emergency rehabilitation of IDPs houses in western Georgia" financed by German Government for long-term settlement of IDPs, namely on the “Country House” program. MDF with the financial support of KFW has built 10 residential buildings in Zugdidi to lodge 320 IDP families.
