Sports Complex Reconstruction and Rehabilitation in Kaspi Municipality Is Underway
New international standard sports complex will be constructed in Kaspi municipality by the year’s end. Project is implemented by LEPL Municipal Development Fund (MDF) of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure (MRDI). Sports complex reconstruction and rehabilitation is financed by the World Bank and costs GEL1 630108,14. Executive Director of MDF Ilia Darchiashvili visited the ongoing construction today. About 30 people are involved in construction works.
The project envisages construction of circular hall for wrestling competition, as well as training hall for wrestlers, fitness and basketball halls, and rehabilitation of old hotel.
Old Basketball Hall has already been dismantled and the work on the foundation of new hall has started. In parallel, works related to hotel are underway, in particular, facing of façade and interior, construction of circular hall and a training hall for wrestlers.
After completion of the project, Kaspi municipality will be provided a new international standard sports complex. Rehabilitation works for sports complex started in the beginning of 2015 and will be completed by the end of the year. LLC Block Georgia is carrying out construction works under the project.
