1120 families residing in 9 villages of Shida Kartli will be provided with 24 hour water supply
Water supply works are under arrangement in 9 villages of dividing line of shida Kartli. Works are financed from state budget and are implemented by MDF , as a result of project implementation 1120 families residing in villages Didi Khurvaleti, Gugutiantkari, Koshka, Zardiantkari, Ditsi, Mereti, Tsagvli, Atotsa and Knolevi will be provided with uninterrupted water supply. Ongoing civil works were visited by MDF executive director Ilia Darchiashvili along with Gori municipality governor Davit Oniashvili who went into conversation with local population.
Water supply provision was one of the problematic issues for mentioned village. Based on GoG resolution problem will be totally solved for these 9 villages. Cost of the project is GEL 2,444,571.98. More than 50 workmen are hired on civil works, works will be finalized by the end of current year and population of 9 villages of dividing line will be provided with 24 hour water supply.
Rehabilitation-construction of main pipeline and distributive networks are implemented in the following villages of Gori municipality: Didi Khurvaleti, Gugutiantkari,Koshkashi, Ditsi,Kveshi and Zardiaantkari, in Khashuri municipality village Tsagvli, and in Kareli municipality villages Atotsa and Knolevi. As for today arrangement of water supply network in Gori municipality villages Ditsi, Koshka, Zardiaantkari and Gugutiantkari is finalized, and in the rest villages works are in progress.
It has to be mentioned that in Kareli municipality village Atotsa and Knolevi also in village Tsagli water supply did not exist and population took water from rivers. As a result of project finalization 9 villages problem existing for years will be totally solved.
Last year MDF finalized construction of reservoirs in mentioned villages, also installation of water boreholes and this year branching works are in progress.
