Construction waste cleaning works on village Vardisubani adjacent territory
Municipal Development Fund of Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia is implementing construction waste cleaning works at the entrance of town Telavi at adjacent territory of village Vardisubani. Total cost of the works consist of GEL 1580210, 57. MDF executive director Ilia Darchiashvili along with local government representatives visited mentioned works.
Existing landfill threats to local population health and is dangerous in terms of ecology. Territory was entirely contaminated, currently territory profiling and accomplishing works are under progress. After recovery- cleaning of the landfill environmental threat will be totally eliminated. 25 workmen are hired on works.
Cleaning of 2 km of the territory from construction waste is envisaged within the scope of the project in particular Vaziani-Gombori automobile road section 65 km 67 km, also riverbed of river Matsantsaraskhevi will be cleaned from sediments, in addition protecting gabions and embankment will be arranged form Matsanstalaskhevi side, territory will be accomplished and landscaped between gabions and automobile road. As a result of mentioned works existing environmental problems and threat to the health of population will be totally eliminated.
Civil works were commenced on December 24, 2014 and will be finalized in 2015.
